As part of Mars Area School District’s positive school climate initiative, Mars Area Elementary School students are painting rocks that will be displayed in a rock garden at the entrance to the school.

 

Each student is painting his/her own rock to celebrate his/her individuality while being a part of the school community as a whole, says Stephanie Graff, fourth grade teacher. The students’ rock designs may feature a picture, animal or a motivational word or message.
