Dear Mars Area Elementary School Families & Staff,

This message is to inform you that Mars Area Elementary School's administration was alerted this afternoon (Wednesday, Oct. 21) that threatening statements written on a bathroom mirror in the school.

Upon receiving this information, the elementary administration worked in cooperation with school security personnel to investigate the incident. The investigation confirmed that the statements were written by an elementary student.

We want to reassure you that the situation has been investigated and there is no threat to the health and safety of the student body and/or staff members at Mars Area Elementary School or at any other District buildings. The safety and well-being of our school community remain our highest priority, and we take all concerns of this nature seriously.
