Mars Arae Elementary School's Parent Orientation for Grades 2-4 is scheduled for Thursday, Aug 27.
SHUTTLE BUSES — Parking at Mars Area Elementary School will be reserved for staff and handicapped parking (with a valid placard) only. Shuttle Buses will be provided from 5:15 to 8:15 p.m. at Mars Area Middle School. All parents/guardians are encouraged to use the provided Shuttle Buses. However additional parking will be available at Mars Area Primary Center or the Mars Area School District Administration Office; but those who park in these lots will need to walk to/from Mars Area Elementary School.
This is an opportunity for you to meet your child’s teacher and review the following:
- Curriculum
- Classroom Management
- Daily Schedule
- Grading and Expectations
- Homework Policy
- Home-School Connection
This is NOT AN OPEN HOUSE. This is an evening FOR PARENTS ONLY. No childcare will be available. Please plan to attend. The curriculum changes, the teachers change, and expectations change. It is imperative that we establish a school–parent partnership to help your child be as successful as possible. Your participation is one way you can help. Please take this opportunity to visit with us and learn of the changes in your child’s educational program.

6:00-6:15 PM Start Time in the Gymnasium - Mr. Lape & Mr. Roorback
6:25-6:55 PM Session I
7:05-7:35 PM Session II
7:35-8:00 PM End of the Evening – visit special area classrooms
Please note that there are TWO SESSIONS scheduled for the evening orientation. The purpose of the two sessions is to provide you with the opportunity to visit more than one classroom if you have more than one child at the Mars Area Elementary School.
