MAES Celebrates with 'Paper Party Palooza'

Mars Area Elementary School celebrated students’ positive behavior by hosting a “Paper Party Palooza” on May 1.

Under the direction of student volunteers from Mars Area High School, students in second through fourth grades joined in various paper-themed activities, including a “Find It” Game, Crumpled Paper Transfer, and a Pass the Paper Relay.

Students could also participate in jump rope, a bean bag toss, bowling, giant Jenga and more during recess. And, during all lunches, lights and music were on display in the school’s cafeteria.

The event was provided through the school’s Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program as a reward for students’ positive behavior during the third nine weeks of the school year.
