Mars Area Elementary School collected $3,786.88 through  its annual Door Decorating Contest & PBIS Coin Wars fundraiser.

The fundraiser, held Dec. 8-12, asked students (Grades 2-4) to work together to decorate their classroom doors and to collect coin donations to benefit the school’s PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports) program’s prize bin. The program rewards students for acts of kindness and other positive behavior.

Contest winners include Emily Banachoski’s second grade classroom ($158.84); Morgan Fuchs and Sarah Sondej’s third grade classrooms ($323.40); and Pam Summers’s fourth grade classroom ($225.16). Staff Vote winners include Madison Belsterling and Emily Slatniske’s learning support classrooms.
