Mars Area Elementary School has established new procedures for dropping off forgotten school materials/lunches and picking up homework, when students are absent.
If you are in need of dropping off forgotten school materials/lunches:
- Please park in a marked space in the parking lot and walk to the front door.
- Ring the bell to enter the vestibule, and a secretary will buzz you into the vestibule.
- Once in the vestibule, you will see a set of shelves labeled grade 2, grade 3, grade 4 and a stack of post-it notes and pens.
- Use a post-it note and pen to write your child's name and homeroom teacher, stick it on the item to be dropped off and place the item on the correct grade level shelf.
- Exit the vestibule.
- An office staff member will retrieve the item and deliver it to your child's classroom.
If you need to pick-up homework:
- Follow steps 1 & 2 above.
- Your child's homework will be labeled and on the corresponding grade level shelf.
- Retrieve your child's homework and exit the vestibule.
