Elementary School Offers Carnival Day Through PBIS Program

Mars Area Elementary School offered a PBIS Carnival Day on May 16

Student (Grades 2-4) were each given four tickets and could select from a variety of carnival-style games and other activities including face painting, temporary tattoo, airbrush tattoos, crafts, scooter relay races, a can knock-down, limbo, inflatable basketball, chalk art, dance party, quarterback toss, ring toss, flying fish, soccer punt, duck pond, a dunk tank and more.

Activities were led by the school’s Fourth Grade Ambassadors, along with Mars Area High School student and Mars Area Elementary PTO volunteers.

The event was provided through the school’s Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program as a reward for students’ positive actions and behaviors throughout the school year and to encourage students to continuing following “The MARS Way” — Make good choices, Always be kind, Be ready to learn, and Stay safe.
