PSSA Testing Information

The following is important information regarding the Pennsylvania Department of Education mandated 2025-2026 Pennsylvania State Assessments (PSSA) that are administered yearly to all students in grades 3-8 in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

The 2025-2026 PSSA Testing Periods for this year will take place during the dates listed below:

English/Language Arts Assessments (Grades 3-4): April 20, 21, 22

Mathematics Assessments (Grades 3-4): April 27 & 28

*Make-up sessions will occur as needed*

For the 2025-2026 school year, PSSA testing will be conducted online. So, all students will be using their District-issued iPads to complete testing. As always, it is imperative that their District-issued device is fully charged when brought to school each day.

In preparation for these exams, we ask our students to make every effort to:

be present and on time to school. Testing will take place daily from 9:10 to 11 a.m. If a student should arrive late to school on a testing day, they will not be permitted to join their class during the AM testing session. All late arrivals will test during the daily make-up session.

  • bring their District-issued iPad to school each day fully charged.
  • be sure to get a good night’s rest.
  • eat a healthy breakfast.
  • relax and concentrate on the day’s assessment!
  • try your very best.

The results of the PSSA will be reported to you as a parent/guardian in the fall of 2026. In addition to individual student results, the district will receive subject area results that show how well our students are performing. School personnel will use this information to analyze our educational programs. Please encourage your child to take these assessments seriously.

If you choose not to have your child participate in these assessments, please contact me as soon as possible, as you must do the following prior to the beginning of testing:

  1. make arrangements with the school to view the testing material; and
  2. submit a written request for exclusion from testing
