Second-graders at Mars Area Elementary School are experimenting with Cubelets to gain a better understanding of how robots work.
In their STEAM classes, students are trying different combinations of the modular robotic blocks to create robots that perform different actions. Once they gain experience with the varying combinations, they are able to use LEGO adapters to bring their LEGO creations to life.
Earlier in the school year, the second-garders learned some basic coding skills and, combined with the knowledge gained through the Cubelets lessons, the students will next begin working with Dash robots to see how coding and robotics come together to create both autonomous and remote control machines.
