Members of Mars Area High School’s Science National Honor Society chapter offered a “STEAM Day” activity for students at Mars Area Elementary School on March 12.
Second-, third- and fourth-graders rotated between six stations focused on chemistry, physics and general science. Activities included “A Spectrum of Effects,” “Clouds,” “Oobleck,” “Peeps in Acid,” “The Bottle Experiment,” and “The Invisible Ink.”
The program offered the high school students a chance to share their knowledge with younger students and was meant to spark and encourage an interest in science-related courses and topics. For more information, call (724) 625-1581.
