Through the remainder of the week (March 18-22), utility crews will be working in and around the main entrances to the Mars Area Primary Center campus and the Mars Area School District Administration Office along Route 228/Brickyard Road.

This work will necessitate the temporarily closure or one or more of these entrances at certain points during the school day. The schedule is as follows: 

Tuesday, March 19  

The Route 228 entrance to the Mars Area Primary Center campus will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Note: Parents/guardians, who may need to access the Mars Area Primary Center and/or Mars Area Elementary School during these hours, will need to seek an alternate route.

Wednesday & Thursday, March 20-21

The Mars Area Primary Center campus exit onto Route 228 will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition, the turn-around in the Mars Area Primary Center parking lot will be closed.

Thursday & Friday, March 21-22

The Brickyard Road entrance/exit to Mars Area School District Administration Office will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Access to the buildings will remain available by way of the Doc’s Way access road (via Three Degree Road) and/or the access road connecting the Mars Area Elementary School parking lot to Mars Area School District Administration Office/Mars Area Primary Center (cafeteria entrance).

Please note that these temporary closures may affect the route that some parents/guardians take during morning drop-off and/or midday kindergarten pick-up/drop-off. Therefore, parents/guardians are asked to please allow for extra time when traveling to and from our schools.
