Mars Area Elementary School fourth-graders are utilizing their engineering skills to design tools that will be used as part of a future art project. 

In their STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art Mathematics) classes, fourth-graders are using TickerCAD digital design software to create clay-cutting and imprinting tools that will be 3D printed.

The students began the project by choosing which tool they will design as well as a shape (circle, triangle, etc.) for the tool. In their art classes, fourth-graders will use the tools to cut out or stamp designs on decorative tea light lanterns that they will be making out of clay.
