Fourth-graders in Dr. Samantha Flanhofer’s class at Mars Area Elementary School developed business plans to mar-ket goods and services as part of an “Entrepreneur for a Day”  activity.

 

Through their social studies unit on the economy, the students learned about income, revenue, sales, marketing, and goods and services. The students were then asked to select a good or service and to create a PowerPoint presentation, focusing on a how it will benefit a target audience, as well as a flyer or commercial advertising their good or service.

 

Earlier today, the students presented their business plans to their fellow classmates and a group of “potential investors” (parents and other family members), who joined the class virtually.
