Mars Area Elementary School students are joining in a Kids Heart Challenge fundraiser to benefit the American Heart Association through Friday, April 9.

In their physical education classes, students will be learning about the five steps to proper heart health, while participating in heart healthy activities. Students are also asked to collect donations for the American Heart Association.

Donations will also accepted online at https://www2.heart.org/site/TR?pg=company&fr_id=5545&company_id=291853 or via the Kids Heart Challenge app.

In addition to online fundraising, students will be asked to make a $1 donation in return for the opportunity to participate in several theme days —“Red Out” Day (Friday, March 12), “Sports” Day (Friday, March 19), “Crazy Hair Day” (Thursday, March 25), and “Red Out” Day (Friday, April 9).
