Mars Area Elementary School would like to thank the Mars Area community for its support of the school’s #bethekindkid Community Night, held Feb. 19.

 

The well-attended event and generous community donations made for a successful Community Night and allowed for the creation of more than 1,000 service projects to benefit local charities and other organizations.

 

In addition, the event raised over $1,000 dollars through its “Pie in the Face” corner, which asked participants to make a nominal donation for the opportunity to toss a pie in the face of several volunteers, including principals, teachers and school police officers. The proceeds will be donated to Adams Area Fire District and Middlesex Township Volunteer Fire Company.
