Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s), 

This message is inform you that Mars Area School District is aware of the “Momo Challenge” viral hoax that has allegedly been circulating through phone apps and web channels such as YouTube.

Our teachers and staff members in each school building are reminding our students about Internet and computer safety and the District is taking measures to ensure that this or any other type of viral hoax is not present on any District technology devices.

In addition, all parent(s)/guardians are urged to talk with your child(ren) about Internet safety and the appropriate use of technology as well as to monitor your child(ren)’s usage of social media and the Internet.
