Two Mars Area Elementary School students were selected as winners in the 2018-2019 Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) Alcohol Awareness Poster Contest.

Third-grader Abigail Schirato was selected as a First Place Calendar Winner and will have her artwork featured in the annual PLCB Calendar. Second-grader Camden Carrabba was named a Second Place Grade Winner.

The students’ posters are among 43 selected from more than 425 entries in this year’s contest, which challenged students to create posters that promote safe and healthy alternatives to underage drinking.

All winners will be recognized at a ceremony at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, at the State Museum of Pennsylvania (Harrisburg, Pa.). The winning posters will be on display at the museum, April 1-5.
