Second-graders at Mars Area Elementary School will participate in a Colonial Day celebration on Wednesday, Nov. 22.

The event will offer students a full day of hands-on learning activities that support the students’ social studies unit on American history. The day will include sessions on colonial games, quill pens, music and dancing as well as Native American achievement feathers, dwellings, games and stories, picture writing, totem poles and more.
